JoAnn Early Macken
Star-shaped, dawn-colored, freckle-faced flowers perch on their branch like a flock of finches peering over each other's shoulders.

Thank you! In spite of their unpredictability (at least under my care), I love orchids, too. I'm always surprised when they bloom, and I love how long they last.

What a beautiful poem, Joann! "Dawn colored" is my favorite phrase here. I can see the finch/flowers peering over each other's shoulders too.

Thank you, Laura! The orchid is blooming again as I write. Lucky me, to have it peering over my shoulder!
